In Crack Open Your Dragon Eggs, I deal with energy. Energy from the painter to the painting, from the painting to the viewer. I thought about magical dragon eggs as a symbol of gratitude and a symbol for a future where I can have access to great strength and passion. The qualities of gratitude, strength, passion, fire, and unexplainable magic are the kinds of things I think are needed in the world. I tried to paint while feeling and thinking about those things, hoping that my strokes and instinctual images could provide a sense of awe and inspiration.
